Open Meeting: Word War I
Headway Arts and Aspire 2 Achieve are planning an event this year to raise awareness of the First World War. 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the War, and together we aim to create an event which will highlight the role Blyth and its citizens played in the conflict.
We are holding an open meeting on February 13th at Headway ArtSpace starting at 2pm.
We really want to create an event which will be about Blyth, by the people in Blyth and of course be held in Blyth. We welcome all residents and community groups, businesses etc. to attend and put forth ideas and stories for this event. Also anybody who does not live in Blyth, but has some information, ideas, maybe even stories or photos of relatives are more than welcome to come along.
Hope to see you there, please pass on this message to anybody you may think will be interested.
Address: Headway ArtSpace, The Old Church, Waterloo Road, Blyth, NE24 1BY.
Directions: We are at the corner of Waterloo Road & Cypress Gardens. The building is an old red brick church with a tall spire. The entrance is on Cypress Gardens. See us on Google Maps.
