HEADWAY ARTS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2010

Headway Arts will be holding their annual general meeting this year on Thursday 16th September 2010. As part of this event Seven Stars will be performing their hilarious new show Arthur's Leeks. The event is being held at The Isabella Centre, Blyth. The performance will begin around 1.00pm with the AGM afterwards. For further information please contact Headway.

HEADWAY AIM HIGH TO BLAST OFF

The award winning Headway Arts would like to announce the dates and venues for BLAST OFF, their summer workshops for disabled children and young people 9 - 18 years old in Northumberland. Supported by Aiming High these creative workshops will be in Alnwick at St James Centre on Thursday 29th July. In Morpeth at St James Hall on Thursday 12th August. In Berwick at the Maltings on Thursday 19th August and Hexham at The Queens Hall on Wednesday 25th August. These workshops start at 10.30am and run until 12.30pm. The costs are £5.00 per person (siblings £4.00).

The workshops are limited to 20 people so book now to avoid disappointment

These workshops will continue throughout Northumberland from September until March 2011. We will keep you posted

Seven Stars Sponsored Walk

The Seven Stars will be doing a sponsored walk again this year on Thursday 20th May at 10.30am. You are welcome to join us in walking from Seaton Sluice to Blyth to raise money for the Seven Stars Learning Disabled Theatre Company.

This powerful drama looks at the relationship between Mark (Kris Brown) who is learning disabled and facing life alone after his mother’s death and his older brother Joe (Steve Byron) who is out of work and unhappy taking on the role of full time carer. Adapted from an original script by Belgrade Theatre Company, Designed & Directed by Alison Walton-Robson, the play joins Mark and elder brother Joe by the sea on the last day of their holiday…
