Come On Down 2012 - our 8th International Festival of Creativity for Learning Disabled People
A fantastic first day (of three) today of our 8th Come On Down International Festival of Creativity for Learning Disabled People. Brilliant work on show today: Sword & Sorcery Storytelling in self-penned 'Killians Quest' from our very own Seven Stars, who also compared the bill. Local ghost story 'The Rose of Bedlington' with beautiful sound beam music from Shadow Stories. A fine informative film from Twisting Ducks. Then Northstar 'bringing us sunshine' from Berwick topped off with some Hill Billy Rock. Splinter Group & The Stars rounded up the day with a good ole live ukelele sing-along. Did we have a good time? Darn tootin we did! Tomorrow is our Schools Day.
Watch this space as tomorrow as our Seven Stars Newshound Reporters will be reviewing the day & posting pictures...
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to a beautiful creative day & especially to The 43 Fund, The Co-operative Community Fund, Northumberland County Council Community Chest and The Rio Tinto Alcan Fund who have supported this festival and to the Northern Rock Foundation who support Seven Stars.
Do let us know if you like to 'Come On Down' too.
